Learning First Aid
First aid help please. My dog ate a silica gel (dessicant) satchet.?

My dog ate one of the desiccant satchets silica obtained with things to keep them dry. Clean your mouth and remove all particles that could. I have also given him the milk now. I learned this as an aid for the first time in my chemistry class. It is not vomiting now, only to sleep. What should I do? Are these things harmful?

Hello, My daughter ate one of these when I was a baby. I never know how he succeeded. I called poison control and said there was no problem with this product. If you are concerned you should call the ASPCA Poison Control Center, as listed by last blogger. They can tell you if this is problematic. If I gave you this milk sometimes cause diarrhea, so do not be alarmed if you have it.
