Learning General Chemistry
What concepts of general chemistry are especially important to learn in preparation for biochemistry?

I am a nursing student and one of my subjects is General Chemistry (Organic / Inorganic) – is more difficult than I thought it would, and would like to prepare for biochemistry as soon as possible. :)

You must be quite good at chemistry quantitatve This calculation refers to the masses, volumes, concentrations and determine how these two sides of a chemical equation / reaction. Other topics to learn in general chemistry are the basic elements of atom: protons, neutrons, electrons … electrons in atomic orbitals (electron configuration) … an introduction to the quantum numbers associated with electron singularity. Chemistry is all about the movement of electrons, after all. Theory is given later than the formation of molecular orbitals and coordination chemistry and ligand geometries. Once completed general chemistry (typically inorganic), then learn organic chemistry (Chemistry of carbon). Then you're ready to learn biochemistry, chemistry (and biology) of biologically important molecules as metabolites of the major pathways of life.
